PairUp Phase 2: A Fund Matching Grant Initiative

At Ateneo de Naga University, students are called to embody the 4C’s: competence, conscience, compassionate commitment to change, and Christ-centeredness. Many students possess innovative ideas and a strong desire to contribute positively to the university community, yet limited financial resources often prevent these ideas from being realized. This lack of support hinders students from translating their creativity and passion into meaningful action, limiting the potential for positive change within and beyond the university. The PairUp Initiative addresses this challenge by providing structured financial assistance in the form of a ₱10,000 grant for student-led projects that advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a student-led program under the student government, Liderato kan Nueva Atenista, PairUp empowers Ateneans to design and implement sustainable, impact-driven initiatives that promote social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and community development. To ensure that projects are sustainable and community-rooted, applicants are required to present proof of independently raised funds. This requirement encourages initiative, accountability, and long-term project viability beyond external support. PairUp fosters a compassionate commitment to change by equipping students with the means and confidence to bring their ideas to life responsibly. Through this approach, PairUp strengthens the university’s culture of innovation, service, and sustainability. It enables students to transform their ideas into tangible contributions that advance the global goals while embodying Ateneo’s mission of forming persons for others.
